DESCRIPTION
Priced to sell,Aside from her modern, contemporary lines and a long list of standard equipment, the most notable feature about the Bayliner 3788 Motor Yacht was her extremely affordable price. Indeed, she was one of the least expensive family cruisers of her size and type available during her production years. She was constructed on a lightweight, solid fiberglass hull with low transom deadrise and a wide beam. Her two-stateroom, galley-up floorplan is efficiently arranged with a queen berth in the forward stateroom and a double berth in the small second cabin that extends below the standard lower helm. A bathtub is fitted in the head compartment, and the engine room (accessed via two gas-assist salon hatches) provides good service access to the motors. Outside, the cockpit is small but the side decks are wide and safe. On the downside, the flybridge ladder is very steep. Because of her shallow transom deadrise and wide beam, the 3788 can be a hard ride when the seas pick up. Standard 7.4-liter gas inboards cruise at 18 knots (about 28 knots top), and twin 250hp Cummins diesels cruise at 18–20 knots with a top speed of about 24 knots. Note that an updated Bayliner 3788 model came out in 2001. 1996–99 Bayliner 3788 Motor Yacht
